Becoming disciples of Jesus finding their place with God in the world today.

Some of the most incredible pieces of art were created when the artist wondered, "What if I ... ?" Their curiosity inspired them to look at what was in front of them to imagine something entirely different. As we grow closer to God, we realize that God asks us to do something similar—to look through the hurt, pain, and evil in the world and wonder what it might look like for things to be different. In this 4-week series from the New Testament and Prophets, we'll wonder about what it might look like to be a part of making a difference as we explore questions like what if God wants you to meet someone's needs, rest, help others heal, or make wrong things right?

Faith Foundations Series 3: The Church and the Kingdom

This series is designed to unpack the dynamic nature of what it means to be the Church and to daily live in the kingdom of God. First, we'll delve into the essence of belonging to God's family, a global community united by faith, love, and purpose. Then we'll take a closer look at what it means to live out the values of love, justice, and compassion. And we'll reflect on how Jesus' teachings call us to live differently, embracing values like forgiveness and reconciliation.

The modern church is facing a crisis of discipleship. It’s not that people don’t want to become like Jesus, or that people aren’t trying to become like Jesus. It’s that we don’t know how to become like Jesus. We need a pathway to formation for the modern era. Boulder Midweek will be learning more about prayer.

Prayer is simply the medium through which we communicate and commune with God. The practice of prayer is learning to set aside dedicated time to intentionally be with God in order to become like him and partner with him in the world.
